Big-Wave surfer McNamara to promote Portugal worldwide

Surfer Garrett McNamara will join Tourism of Portugal to promote the country internationally. This initiative is called "McNamara Surf Trip", which began by surfing 'Gasoline', the wave generated by Tagus river catamarans.

A 30 meters (100 ft) wave surfed by McNamara in January 2013 on 'North Beach', in Nazaré, went down in history as the biggest wave ever surfed and even some newspapers like 'The Times', stated Portugal as number one in Europe and one of the world's leading beach destinations for those looking for leisure or water sports.
